About the Opportunity: AGT Software Partners is seeking experienced Data Engineers to join two distinct global enterprise data transformation programs. You'll work on scalable, cloud-native data warehouse platforms supporting high-visibility analytics ecosystems for international clients.
We're hiring for two separate projects, each with strong potential for contract extension based on performance and project continuation.
Project Details:
Project 1 - UK Aligned
Positions: 7 Data Engineers
Duration: 4 months (extension expected)
Timezone: London, UK
Project 2 - APAC Aligned
Positions: 4 Data Engineers
Duration: 6 months (extension expected)
Timezone: Sydney, Australia
What You'll Do:
Design and build scalable, production-grade data pipelines for enterprise data warehouses
Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS and GCP
Write optimized SQL including complex analytical and window functions
Build and manage data transformations using dbt and Big Query
Orchestrate workflows with Apache Airflow
Implement comprehensive data validation and quality frameworks
Apply CI/CD best practices using Git Hub or Bitbucket
Collaborate within Agile teams using JIRA and Confluence
Must Have:
5-8+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience
Strong production experience with AWS and GCP
Proven track record delivering enterprise-grade data pipelines for data warehouses
Advanced SQL proficiency (analytical functions, window functions, optimization)
Hands-on experience with dbt and Big Query
Experience orchestrating workflows using Apache Airflow
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
Experience with data quality and validation frameworks
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments (JIRA, Confluence)
Nice to Have:
Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or other cloud data warehouses
Python proficiency for custom data processing and scripting
Knowledge of data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Data Vault)
Experience with data observability or testing frameworks (Great Expectations, dbt tests)
Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Experience with real-time streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
Background in financial services or regulated industries
Previous experience working with global/distributed teams across multiple timezones
Location Preferences:
