Senior E-Commerce Checkout Microservices Architect

Experience:

10+ years overall, with 5–7 years of deep, hands-on experience in modern e-commerce architectures

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior E-Commerce Checkout Microservices Architect to design, build, and scale secure, high-performance checkout solutions for large online retail platforms. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud-native services, MACH-based composable commerce, payments, and API-driven microservices.

Required Skills:

- Cloud & Architecture: AWS, Microservices, Terraform, API design
- API & Security: REST/SOAP, OAuth, API Gateway, encryption
- E-Commerce (MACH):
Composable commerce (Commerce Tools, Big Commerce, etc.)
- Payments:
Digital wallets, BNPL, fraud prevention
- Data & Dev Ops:
Dynamo

DB, RDS, Redis, EKS/ECS, monitoring tools

Expertise in AWS core services:

- Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda
- Amazon VPC, AWS IAM
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Strong experience with REST and SOAP APIs (mandatory)
- Amazon API Gateway

Hands-on exposure to platforms such as:

- Commerce Tools
- Flooid Commerce
- Big Commerce
- or similar MACH/SaaS platforms
- Strong understanding of end-to-end e-commerce workflows
- Payments & Fraud

Hands-on experience integrating:

- Apple Pay, Google Pay
- Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL)
- Net Banking and other payment systems
- Strong understanding of payment security and fraud prevention tools
- Data, Containers & Observability

- Experience with No

SQL and relational databases
