1. Purpose of the Role

Arcelor Mittal is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to be part of the Cloud & Datacenter Center of Excellence in Hyderabad, India. The role focuses on delivering best-in-class cloud design and operational management.

The engineer will be responsible for technically managing environments across Azure and AWS, as well as providing remote support for on-premise datacenters in Europe, including Active Directory (AD) management. The role requires 24/7 operational support and participation in a weekly on-call rotation.

The scope of this role covers all European organizations within Arcelor Mittal and operates as part of the global Cloud Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Datacenter Operations

- Operate cloud environments on Azure and AWS
- Provide remote support for on-premise datacenters
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of environments

24/7 Support & On-Call

- Participate in the weekly on-call rota for out-of-hours support

Technical Expertise

- Demonstrate proficiency in cloud-based technical solutions
- Apply strong knowledge of on-premise virtualization environments

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Work closely with stakeholders across European organizations
- Ensure delivery of high-quality infrastructure support services

Continuous Improvement

- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Implement best practices for cloud and datacenter operations

Compliance & Security

- Ensure compliance with regulations and security standards

3.2 Technical Competencies

- Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and datacenter technologies
- Proficiency in Unix-based environments, including Linux servers (AIX is a plus)
- Knowledge of database management and system operations
- Proficiency in Active Directory configuration, maintenance, and optimization
- Knowledge of security standards and best practices for AD environments
- Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM (Service Now) is nice to have
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural and geographically dispersed environment
- Proficiency in English (other European languages are a plus)

4. Requirements

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Master’s degree and technical certifications are a plus

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management
- Experience designing and managing cloud and datacenter operations is essential
