Mainframe Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements for mainframe applications
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios for mainframe systems
- Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing
- Validate batch jobs, online transactions, and reports
- Execute test cases using TSO/ISPF and analyze batch job outputs
- Perform backend testing and data validation using DB2 / SQL
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
- Coordinate with developers and business analysts for defect resolution
- Prepare test reports, defect metrics, and test execution summaries
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and testing best practices
