What You’ll Do:
Lead, hire, mentor, and develop security engineering and operations teams supporting cybersecurity tools and platforms.
Own delivery and operational outcomes for security products and services, including reliability, performance, and security.
Partner with Principal Engineers and Architects to translate technical strategy into executable roadmaps.
Drive adoption of operational excellence across cyber security tooling to include zero trust, micro-segmentation, WAF and firewalls solutions.
Establish and govern cyber tooling operation and practices, including SLAs, incident management, change management, and postmortems.
Oversee security tooling architecture and design reviews, ensuring secure-by-design implementation across platforms.
Guide AI and ML usage within security tooling automation, including governance, risk awareness, conformance, and compliance alignment.
Set and enforce cloud platform standards across AWS and Azure (architecture, IAM, cost, IaC).
Track and communicate service, delivery, reliability, and security KPIs with transparency and accountability.
Collaborate with product, cybersecurity, cloud, and compliance stakeholders to align engineering outcomes with business needs.
Foster a culture of operational engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring :
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, software engineering, or platform engineering roles.
3+ years of people management experience, leading and scaling technical teams.
Experience in Cybersecurity Engineering design and operations, including people management
Strong understanding of cybersecurity domains, including identity.
Must Have
Skills:
People leadership and team development:
Build, mentor, and grow high-performing cyber security teams.
Experience managing or supervising a team of 10-15 or more security engineers in technical and operational roles.
Strong understanding of zero trust technologies including Authentication, segmentation, security, and network operations, network traffic and clow analysis, WAF, FW, segmentation.
Ownership of delivery, reliability, and security outcomes:
Accountable for execution, platform stability, and security posture.
Cybersecurity platform and automation experience:
Lead teams delivering security automation across key domains.
Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management:
Partner across engineering, security, and business teams.
Nice To Have:
Experience leading security automation or SOAR platforms.
Exposure to AI / ML governance in security systems.
Background in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, cloud certifications).
