Senior Azure Data engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled  Senior Azure Data Engineer  with strong experience in integrating  SAP systems  with  Azure cloud data platforms . The ideal candidate should be proficient in  Azure Data Factory (ADF) ,  Azure Databricks , and  Azure Logic Apps , and have a deep understanding of building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure data integration solutions in a cloud environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain  data integration and transformation solutions  between  SAP systems  (ECC, S/4

HANA, or BW) and  Azure services .
Build and manage  ETL/ELT pipelines  using  Azure Data Factory  for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
Develop and optimize  data processing workflows  using  Azure Databricks (PySpark/Spark SQL) .
Implement  event-driven integrations and workflow automations  using  Azure Logic Apps  and  Azure Functions .
Collaborate with SAP teams to extract and integrate data using  ODATA, BAPI, RFC, or IDoc  interfaces.
Support the  design of data architectures , including data lakes and data warehouses on  Azure .
Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with  enterprise data governance  and  security policies .
Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues in data pipelines and integrations.
Prepare  technical documentation , solution designs, and operational guidelines.
Required

Skills & Qualifications

7-10 years of overall experience in  data engineering  or  data integration , with at least  3+ years in Azure data services .
Strong hands-on experience with  Azure Data Factory ,  Azure Databricks , and  Azure Logic Apps .
Proven experience in  integrating Azure with SAP systems  (ECC/S4

HANA/BW).
Proficiency in  Python ,  SQL , and  data transformation frameworks .
Good understanding of  data lake ,  data warehouse , and  data modeling  principles.
Familiarity with  Azure Synapse Analytics ,  Power BI , and  Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines .
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Good to Have

Knowledge of  SAP integration technologies  (ODATA, IDocs, BAPI, RFC).

Experience with  event-driven architectures  and  API-based integrations .
Understanding of  data security, access control, and compliance standards  in Azure.
Experience working in  Agile/Scrum  environments.
