Senior Consultant SAP CPI

Technical Expertise
Strong hands-on experience with SAP CPI / Integration Suite
Deep understanding of:
SAP S/4
HANA integration patterns
APIs, IDocs, OData, SOAP, REST
Advanced skills in:
Groovy scripting
XML, JSON, XSD
XSLT
Experience working on SAP BTP
Media / Enterprise Environment Experience (Highly Desirable)
Experience supporting high-availability, business-critical environments
Understanding of tight operational windows (payroll, publishing, finance close)
Experience working in regulated, audit-driven enterprises
Nice to Have
Experience with AIF
Exposure to Event Mesh
SAP CPI / Integration Suite certification
Experience in large S/4
HANA transformation programs
Familiarity with Service Now and ITIL processes

Key Responsibilities
Integration Design & Delivery
Design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade integrations using SAP CPI / Integration Suite
Develop robust iFlows using adapters including:
OData
SOAP
REST
IDoc
SFTP
AS2
Implement message mappings using:
Graphical mapping
XSLT
Groovy scripting
SAP & Business-Critical Integrations
Integrate S/4
HANA including:
SAP Ariba (procurement & suppliers)
SAP Success Factors & Fieldglass (HR, payroll inputs, contractors)
Legacy ECC and third-party systems
Support hybrid integration scenarios (cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-prem)
Ensure accurate and timely data flows supporting:
Finance close cycles
Payroll runs
Supplier payments
Regulatory reporting
Hypercare, AMS & Incident Management
Provide Hypercare support post-go-live , ensuring rapid issue resolution
Monitor integrations using CPI monitoring tools and alerts
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
Support BAU AMS operations including:
Incident, problem, and change management
On-call or critical incident support (where required)
Work closely with Service Now for incident tracking and SLA adherence
Security, Stability & Compliance
Configure and manage:
Certificates and keystores
OAuth, client certificates, basic authentication
Implement error handling, retries, and resilience mechanisms to minimize business impact
Governance, Documentation & Standards
Maintain high-quality:
Integration design documents
Interface specifications
Support runbooks
Follow agreed naming conventions, transport strategies, and documentation standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with:
Functional teams (Finance, HR, Procurement)
SAP Basis & Security
SAP Architects and SI partners
Participate in design workshops and technical reviews
Support KT sessions and mentoring of junior consultants
Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
