We are seeking an experienced Epic Project Manager to lead healthcare technology programs and drive successful Epic implementations. This role is responsible for program planning, stakeholder alignment, risk management, training readiness, and go-live execution, with a strong focus on quality, timelines, and organizational readiness.
Experience:
The ideal candidate brings strong experience leading large-scale Epic or healthcare technology implementations, with expertise in governance, delivery execution, stakeholder management, and go-live readiness. Experience across the full implementation lifecycle and depth in at least one Epic module are essential.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead Epic implementation programs across the full lifecycle, from planning and design through testing, training, cutover, go-live, command center support, and stabilization.
Drive governance, stakeholder alignment, and executive communication across business, clinical, and technology teams to ensure clear decisions and program momentum.
Demonstrate strong influencing and communication skills to collaborate directly with Epic teams and external health systems in enabling remote clinical support.
Oversee project onboarding, scope definition, resource planning, environment readiness, delivery planning, and milestone execution.
Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more Epic modules, providing guidance across implementation planning and delivery.
Support training readiness and team capability development, including certification planning and knowledge enablement where needed.
Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations to protect timelines, quality, and delivery outcomes.
Apply implementation best practices and lessons learned to strengthen execution, improve delivery efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
Contribute to strategic planning activities, including estimation, staffing strategy, pre-sales support, and delivery roadmap development as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Technology/ Healthcare
12+ years of IT experience in healthcare domain
Strong project or program management experience leading Epic or healthcare technology implementations
Proven expertise in governance, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional delivery.
Experience managing the full implementation lifecycle, including planning, testing, training, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
Working knowledge of at least one Epic module and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Epic certification or advanced expertise in one or more Epic modules.
Experience with training strategy, team capability development, or certification planning.
Exposure to pre-sales support, estimation, staffing strategy, or roadmap planning.
Familiarity with healthcare operations, clinical workflows, or provider environments.
