Requirements
* Seeking an experienced SAP GTS Consultant with 8+ years of SAP experience
(including 8 years in GTS) to lead implementation, support, and optimization of
global trade compliance solutions.
The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to
ensure regulatory compliance, seamless integration, and process
automation.
Key
Responsibilities
* 꾆 1. Functional Expertise
Lead design and implementation of SAP GTS modules:
Compliance Management (SPL screening, embargo)
Customs Management (imports/exports)
Risk Management
Trade Preference (FTAs, origin determination)
Conduct requirement gathering workshops with business teams
Provide functional solutions aligned with global compliance
regulations
꾆 2. Configuration & Implementation
Configure:
o Legal regulations
o Compliance checks (SPL, embargo, license)
o Customs processes (import/export declarations)
Develop functional specifications (FS) for enhancements
Coordinate with technical teams for build and deployments
꾆 3. Integration & System Landscape
Manage integration between:
o SAP GTS and SAP ECC / S/4
HANA
o SD, MM, FI modules
Handle:
o IDocs, RFCs, APIs
o Middleware integration (PI/PO, CPI)
Troubleshoot document transfer and interface issues
꾆 4. Support & Incident Management
Lead L2/L3 support activities
Analyze and resolve production issues
Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes
Ensure SLA adherence and continuous improvement
꾆 5. Data & Master Data Management
Oversee:
o Product classification (HS codes)
o Business partner integration
o Data governance and quality
Ensure accurate data for compliance checks
꾆 6. Testing & Quality Assurance
Support SIT, UAT, regression testing
Prepare test scenarios and validate outcomes
Ensure compliance and audit readiness
꾆 7. Project Delivery & Leadership
Lead end-to-end implementations and rollouts
Manage global deployment templates
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Mentor junior consultants
꾆 8. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to:
o Export control regulations
o Sanctions and embargo compliance
Provide advisory on global trade regulations
꾆 9. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Identify automation opportunities within GTS processes
Explore AI/analytics for compliance optimization
Recommend system enhancements and best practices >
