India delivery center is one of our global delivery and capability hub. We bring together experts in AI, engineering, analysis, quality, and architecture to deliver product & process solutions, application run services, change and transformation initiatives, and centralized platform services across both on prem and Guidewire Cloud environments. Our teams operate from multiple global delivery centers, supporting Zurich’s business units worldwide.
Application Support Engineer – Longview Tax
Purpose:
As Application Support Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team supporting and transforming Zurich Group’s Finance Applications.
Specifically, you will develop, maintain and support a globally used Tax solution (Longview) for our Business Stakeholders and work on projects and innovative initiatives to build and evolve the solution, leveraging current technology stacks.
Your Responsibilities:
Understand and maintain the current solution for Income Tax calculation (Cloud Technologies, Web-Application and Platform Support).
Understand business processes and related functional components, dataflows and process steps, collaborating closely with business, developers, and IT teams to ensure that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Work with the different Business, IT Support and Project teams on how to best fulfil business needs and to translate those into functional requirements and solutions.
Develop and deploy changes, manage releases and own the installation of Release Upgrades.
Manage and resolve Incidents, ensuring the systems are running smoothly and effectively.
Leveraging AI capabilities to accelerate developments, improve troubleshooting, ensure quality and enhance governance outcomes.
Reduce manual remediation effort by identifying recurring patterns and optimization opportunities in the scope using AI-supported insights.
Continuously improve and document the solution.
Required
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in advanced-IT or equivalent with minimum 3 years of total IT experience, preferably serving Finance departments.
Proven experience in a similar role supporting web-based applications, solution development and release management, working with code repositories (e.g. Git Hub).
Experience in web-application solution design with solid development skills (e.g. Python, .Net) and strong software engineering fundamentals.
Experience in Database (SQL) and Cloud Technologies (AWS).
Strong “AI First” mindset with AI tools and frameworks knowledge, with a focus on continuous service improvement and comfort using AI assistants (e.g., Claude Code) as part of the daily engineering workflow.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail.
Fluent in English; strong communication, presentation and documentation skills.
An Advantage:
Experience with Longview Tax Application.
Experience in the Finance Area, Financial Services / Tax / Financial Close and main accounting principles (IFRS, GAAPs).
Understanding of ITIL processes (preferably ITIL Certified) such as Change Management, Incident Management.
Experience with workflow management tools such as Service Now, Jira, Confluence.
