JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Group Head of Resilience, the Head of Incident Management and Business Continuity is accountable for leading AD through situations that may be, or could lead to, disruption, loss, emergency or crisis. This role is responsible for a holistic management process that identifies potential threats to AD, and the impacts to business operations those threats, if realised, might cause, and which provides a framework for building organisation resilience, with the capability of an effective response that safeguards the interest of AD’s key stakeholders, reputation, brand and value-creating opportunities Specifically, you will:

- Define and maintain an ISO compliant Business Continuity Plan (BCP) with documented procedures that guide an organisation to respond, recover, resume and restore to a pre-defined level of operation following a disruption.
- Expertly lead through incidents to minimise their impact on AD, ensure adequate Recovery of the Business and Business Continuity. This will include clear management and prioritisation of resources and activities to help the business achieve recovery of client delivery and market position.
- Deliver excellent top leadership level engagement, communication and training with effective and economical incident management and business continuity / recover features.
- Define and maintain allocated team’s and person’s roles in incident management and business continuity with their deputies and ensure adequate training is successfully undertaken and completed.
- Testing and maintaining the incident management and business continuity programme in other aspects including regular review and assessment of the plan and following material change to the business, testing of the BCP to ensure it works as expected and identifies weakness and areas of improvement (including but not limited to subcontractor and vendor level, IT & data back-ups, or personal changes).
- As a senior leader, you will also be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team in supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels.
- Promote and build the Alter Domus brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to our people, clients, and customers to embed the Alter Domus Values and to promote our Employer Value Proposition.
- Drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.
- Ensure the company maintains the highest Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) standards.

PROFILE

- You are a subject matter expert in incident management and business continuity with strong technology, cyber and vendor-risk knowledge.
- Extensive experience in driving resilience for client services or fund administration businesses.
- A motivation to built on the role and develop operational resilience to meet the expectations of our clients and regulators alike.
- Strong understanding of global financial services regulations and technology trends.
