Job Description & How to Apply Below
At Aodh Lifesciences, we are building a next-generation deep science drug development company focused on redefining respiratory drug delivery through a regulatory-driven approach. Our work integrates translational biology, microbiology, advanced formulation and device engineering, PBPK modelling, IVIVC modelling, and regulatory-grade data generation to develop targeted therapies designed to improve local efficacy while minimizing systemic exposure and addressing antimicrobial resistance.
We are looking for driven individuals who are curious, think deeply about the science, and are excited to take ownership in a zero-to-one environment, building not just products but a globally relevant, regulatory-grade R&D ecosystem from the ground up.
Roles & Responsibilities
Evaluate upper airway indications, especially sinusitis, from the perspective of anatomy, physiology, etiology, disease mechanisms, and local delivery barriers.
Identify and define the correct target regions for drug deposition and action in the nasal cavity and sinonasal system.
Study and document key factors affecting local delivery, including mucociliary clearance, mucus properties, airflow pathways, inflammation, obstruction, edema, discharge, and disease-state variability.
Assess differences between acute vs chronic disease, and where relevant, post-surgical or altered sinonasal anatomy.
Convert biological and anatomical understanding into clear product design inputs for formulation, device, performance characterization, and microbiology teams.
Define target zones, avoid zones, delivery barriers, patient-use variables, and stress-case scenarios such as congestion, high mucus load, septal deviation, or altered airflow.
Conduct comprehensive literature review and evidence synthesis from scientific publications, guidelines, patents, product labels, and regulatory documents.
Prepare regulatory-style technical documents such as indication dossiers, target-zone requirement documents, scientific justification notes, and upper airway biology reports.
Build and maintain a structured knowledge base of upper airway anatomy, physiology, etiology, and development-relevant insights for current and future products.
Coordinate closely with internal cross-functional teams including pharmaceutics, microbiology, regulatory/documentation, and management to keep the product at the center.
Support scientific interactions with external CROs, consultants, testing laboratories, and development vendors, including briefing, query resolution, and interpretation of outsourced outputs.
Contribute to development of a reusable respiratory drug-delivery platform by creating frameworks, templates, assumptions registers, and decision-oriented documentation.
Technical Skills
The candidate should preferably be able to use or quickly learn the following:
Scientific literature databases and search tools:
Pub Med, Google Scholar, Scopus, Science Direct
Reference management tools:
Mendeley, Zotero, End Note
Document authoring and reporting:
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Data organization and review tools:
Excel trackers, literature evidence matrices, comparison tables
Regulatory/technical writing: ability to prepare structured, traceable, decision-oriented documentation in a regulatory style
Basic data interpretation: ability to analyze and summarize published biological, physiological, and translational data
Visualization/presentation tools:
PowerPoint, Bio Render or equivalent for scientific schematics and pathway illustrations
Project coordination tools: familiarity with tools such as Jira, Asana, Click Up, Notion, or similar platforms is an advantage
Basic understanding of anatomy/imaging-derived interpretation: ability to interpret anatomical diagrams, CT/MRI-based literature figures, airway maps, and deposition-related visuals
Spreadsheet-based scientific planning: use of Excel for gap analysis, milestone tracking, evidence mapping, and decision logs
Collaboration/document-sharing platforms:
Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint, or similar
Optional added advantage: exposure to CFD/deposition literature, medical imaging tools, or biomedical…
