Ground Beef Superintendent

Qualifications

• Work in a refrigerated, noisy environment with possible slippery floors
• Wear required safety equipment
• Extended walking, standing and lifting, or carrying 100 pounds or greater
• Ability to work required hours including scheduled Saturdays and call-backs
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred but not required
• 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Knowledge of ground beef processes

• Ensure area is properly staffed to meet operational needs
• Ensure the safety of all employees working in the ground beef area
• Oversee the performance, hiring, and training of ground beef supervisors
• Manage the movement of bids, new hire placement, and turnover reduction
• Maintain a good working relationship with Technical Services, USDA, Union, and Maintenance employees
• Monitor expenses in the area
• Oversee equipment in the area to ensure it is running correctly and that area has adequate equipment for employees
• Ensure area is properly sanitized
• Facilitate and/or participate in group meetings
• Ensure company policies are being followed
