We are looking for a Team Oriented Subcontract Administrator who has a working knowledge of Federal Construction Contracting and procurement requirements. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team of Contracts and Procurement Professionals who are driven to provide exceptional service to our Government client in the Idaho Falls, .
Responsibilities- Perform subcontracting or paralegal functions in support of Construction, Mechanical Equipment, Excavation, General Services, etc. in the Federal Contracting environment.
- Assign tasks of varying scope and moderate complexity following established policies and procedures.
- Work in a team environment with shifting priorities that may include extended hours (as needed & approved) to support project schedules.
- With guidance of senior staff, be responsible for cradle to grave procurement administration of federal and/or commercial construction related procurement actions; review requisitions, prepare RFPs, conduct bid abstracts, conduct negotiations, prepare purchase orders and subcontracts and administer complex services-type subcontracts.
- Be proactive and forward looking when developing and administering subcontracts.
- With oversight of senior staff, support proposal preparation activities to clients.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR 10 years’ relevant experience and high school diploma/GED in lieu of Bachelor’s.
- Contracts experience.
- USA citizenship is required.
- Strong computer skills:
Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook. - Above-average writing skills; logical and succinct.
- Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) experience.
- Familiarity with federal and commercial procurement guidelines and regulations.
- Industrial Construction experience.
- Some paralegal experience helpful.
- Experience administering large complex federal construction type contracts.
- Previous legal contracts experience.
Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting limited to 20 lbs. Hand manipulation required. Occasional travel; work near construction job site equipment; exposure to dust, gas or fumes, noise, extremes in temperature or humidity; potential work at heights.
Position located approximately 55 miles from Idaho Falls.
