Job Summary
Seeking qualified, experienced instructors to offer dual credit Career & Technical courses in high schools.
Typical Job Functions- Provides instruction and assessment of curriculum aligned with College of Eastern Idaho Career and Technical courses.
- Uses the Idaho Skill Stack system and CEI Self Service to enter skills and grades at the end of each term.
- Works with post-secondary liaison to adhere to National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships standards for delivery of curriculum and assessment. Assessment of student work will be the same in high school as at CEI, with discussions between instructor and CEI faculty liaison regarding grading standards.
- Collaborates with the Early College Office team to assist students with course registration.
- Keeps the Early College Programs office informed of any issues or changes.
- Attends annual professional development sessions at CEI.
- Works with the Early College Transition Coordinator to arrange testing and transcription for Technical Competency Credit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related subject.
- Idaho CTE certification or ability to obtain it.
- Subject-related industry endorsement or Idaho CTE subject-specific endorsement.
- Teaching experience.
- Must reside in Idaho (CEI does not currently sponsor H-1B Visas).
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Employees work indoors, protected from weather and contaminants, but may experience temperature changes. Regular sitting and repetitive hand motions are required.
Onsite work is essential, with regular attendance expected.
Background InvestigationsEmployment is contingent upon successful criminal background checks and may include credit or motor vehicle checks as per Policy 225.
