Position Overview
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will lead and manage geotechnical investigations, design foundations and earthworks, and provide technical guidance on a variety of civil and infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with clients, project managers, and junior engineers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations including field exploration, laboratory testing, and data analysis.
- Design foundations, retaining structures, slope stability solutions, and ground improvement systems.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and support their professional development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transportation, commercial, and municipal projects.
- Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Support business development efforts through proposal writing and client engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- PE license in Idaho.
- Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, and geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, gINT, LPILE, SLOPE/W).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
