This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates. This is an on‑site role at our Baton Rouge, LA site location.

Project responsibilities include.
- Preliminary assessments
- Concept creation
- Leading designs with support from peers, SMEs, and BIM designers
- Internal and external problem resolution
- Drawing and specification production
- Customer and vendor accessibility
As a wireless telecommunication project lead, you’ll design and provide technical design leadership of systems for data center buildings, including Commercial DAS, Public Safety DAS, LMR, Site Radio, RoIP, Wi‑Fi, and Tower Studies.
Responsibilities- Design Wireless systems in iBwave and EDX
- Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages
- Coordinate with AHJ’s, Radio System Owners, and the Carriers
- Create or modify DIV 27 specifications
- Conduct site visits
- Review technical documents
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years’ experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems, including LMR 2‑way radio, Public Safety DAS, and Commercial DAS
- Commercial DAS systems experience (OTA DAS, Neutral Host DAS, DRAN DAS)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner or equivalent modeling programs
- Experience working with clients to identify wireless communications needs
- Experience troubleshooting wireless communication system issues
- Knowledge of Noise Floor, SNIR, Return Loss, and VSWR
- Experience optimizing networks in design and installation
- Thorough knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, NFPA 1225, IFC section 510, Carrier KPI’s, IBC, FCC parts 20 and 90, FCC OET Bulletin 65, MOTOTRBO, Motorola R56 installation standards, DMR Tier III
- Familiarity with Navisworks
- Excellent project management skills and self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients
- Experience responding to RFPs, creating budgets, maintaining schedules, and mitigating company risk
- iBwave Level 2 Certification (required)
- Experience designing Wi‑Fi systems
- EDX or Motorola design certifications
- FCC GROL
- NICET Design Certification
- Multiple OEM product certifications
- Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering degree
- EIT or PE
