Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Housekeeper to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: The Housekeeper is responsible for day‑to‑day cleaning of all areas of the facility, including surfaces, trash disposal, disinfecting equipment, stocking and laundering linens, and managing housekeeping supply closets.

Benefits are based on eligibility according to full‑time, part‑time, or PRN status classification.
Duties and Responsibilities- Follow proper procedures for Category I tasks (Standard Precautions for Infection Control).
- Maintain general cleanliness of all assigned areas, including dry tasks (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, replacing paper towels, toilet paper) and wet tasks (disinfecting equipment, beds, gurneys, mopping, cleaning porcelain fixtures, glass, doors, mirrors).
- Stock clean linen supply carts and collect dirty linen.
- Maintain housekeeping closets in clean, orderly fashion.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in proper condition and report malfunctions immediately.
- Perform housekeeping functions in all departments as needed, regardless of primary assignment.
- Handle trash appropriately following established procedures.
- Maintain a responsible attitude toward performance, teamwork, and efficiency.
- Demonstrate personal responsibility for fulfilling assignments effectively and completely.
- Strive to work in the most cost‑efficient manner possible.
- Cooperate with department managers or supervisors regarding hours and assignments.
- Extend courtesy and cooperation in communication with others.
- Support facility policy and assist in policy changes.
- Demonstrate loyalty to the facility’s philosophy, policies, and practices.

Qualifications- Education/
Certifications:
High School graduate or equivalent preferred. - Experience: Minimum one year in institutional housekeeping preferred. Basic computer skills helpful.
- Equipment/Technology: Ability to utilize basic cleaning equipment (vacuum, etc.).
- Language/Communication: Ability to understand oral instructions and requests in English; written English instructions helpful. Not required to speak English.

General mathematics. - Mental Capabilities: Ability to follow written and oral directions to a level ensuring understanding of hazards from chemicals, waste, and infection control.
- Interpersonal: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors.
