Overview
Just 4 Kids Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Supervisory privileges to assist in providing well-rounded care for our pediatric patients. The Social Worker will supervise LMSW and intern colleagues, assess, diagnose, and treat children and adolescents who may have mental, social, or emotional disorders. Assessments, diagnoses, and treatments will be part of an interdisciplinary approach with pediatricians at Just 4 Kids Urgent Care, Case Managers, child advocacy groups, and others where needed to provide the most complete patient care.
Responsibilities- Supervise LMSW and interns.
- Maintain excellent communication skills to connect with children and adolescents of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures.
- Educate family members on what they can do for their child or how to respond to certain behaviors.
- Utilize a variety of assessment tactics to connect with children who are suffering from a range of conditions.
- Assist children in day-to-day activities and in meeting developmental milestones.
- Coordinate patient care with necessary disciplines.
- Develop treatment plans.
- Assist in coordination of referrals.
- Meet regularly with patients to ensure ongoing assessment and treatment plan updates.
- Ensure timely communication of significant changes in patient status to the Primary Care Provider.
- Court appearances and deposition testimony may be necessary in cases where children are removed from the home due to abusive or neglectful conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with supervisory privileges.
- Maintains standards of care and practice at all times.
- Adheres to professional, ethical, and legal regulations as determined by regulatory bodies and the law.
- Attends team meetings and continuing education courses.
- Practical experience working with children in a clinical setting.
- Social workers, interns, students, and other professionals.
- +/- 10%
- Typically work is performed in an office or clinic setting.
- Occasional work performed in offsite or other clinical locations.
