Job Summary
Arrange for the efficient and orderly admission and discharge of outpatient appointments, testing and procedures. Schedules provider appointment and maintains EMR system. Ensures that the patient’s information is collected, entered into computer system accurately, and that all patients are aware of clinic & hospital policies and procedures. Answers phones and provides answers to basic questions as needed. Processes incoming and outgoing referrals, faxes, and correspondence.
Collects co-pays and payment receipts and ensures they are processed accordingly. Preauthorizes and schedules procedures with insurance and outside facilities.

Education/Certification: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
