Caregiver, Home Health Aide, Home Care

Working as a caregiver is a rewarding position that allows you to help and support those with special needs daily living skills. You will be working towards specific goals with these individuals each day to improve their self-image, social skills, and self-reliance. Creating daily schedules that incorporate their hobbies and preferred activities lets you interact more personally with the participants. This position can be part-time or full time with health benefits available to those working full time.

Compensation: $20,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year

TYPICAL JOB

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Aiding with activities of daily living
• Assisting with shopping, errands & transportation
• Pick up prescriptions & assist with telehealth visits
• Meal preparation
• Providing companionship

I worked at Home Helpers of Bourbonnais for 5 year and it was by far the best job I’ve had. The owner is very invested in her business and truly cares about her staff and Clients. The office staff is very professional and does a great job managing. As a caregiver you can have as many or as little hours as you wish.

Schedules do change but that’s only when the clients need changed. I also had an updated care plan for every client and I was able to assist with making sure that my clients had the best care as my shift ended. Supervisors are not at every clients house all the time but they are very involved and always reachable.
