Job Summary
Arrange for the efficient and orderly admission and discharge of outpatient appointments, testing and procedures. Schedule provider appointments and maintain the EMR system. Ensure that the patient’s information is collected and entered in the computer system accurately, and that all patients are aware of clinic & hospital policies and procedures. Answer phones and provide answers to basic questions as needed. Process incoming and outgoing referrals, faxes, and correspondence.

Qualifications- Education/Certification: High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Equipment/Technology: Ability to use hospital information system and operate basic computer functions and software.
- Language/Communication: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively, before groups of customers and or employees of the organization.
- Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs. - Mental Capabilities: Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Interpersonal: Ability to work well with others.
