We are looking for a machinist experienced with manual equipment, CNC mills, and lathes. Experience with Solid Works, CAD, and Fusion 360 programs is required. Must have knowledge of all G-Codes and be able to set up, program, and operate HAAS machines with 4-5 Axis. Ability to work independently, interpret job specifications, and manufacture according to DOE and Naval requirements is essential.
Government contract experience is a plus. Responsibilities include designing tooling/fixtures, selecting tools, programming, creating prototypes, and manufacturing one-of-a-kind pieces from samples. Must hold close tolerances, estimate and quote new production and prototype work, read prints, and possess excellent math skills including trigonometry. Ability to analyze drawings, models, and sketches to determine dimensions and cutting parameters is required. Also, machine and assemble prototypes, test equipment, and tooling, and collaborate with engineers and technicians.
