Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for an Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: The Operating Room RN is responsible for the delivery and documentation of patient care during the intra-operative period. Assesses the patient’s needs, physiologically as well as emotionally, and plans nursing care accordingly. The nursing role during this phase focuses on providing quality patient care through familiarity with and adherence to policies and procedures, and standards of practice for perioperative nursing.

Please note benefits are based on eligibility according to full‑time, part‑time or PRN status classification.
QualificationsEducation/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Current, unencumbered U.S. RN license and CGFNS Visa Screen. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required and renewal every 2 years prior to expiration. CNOR certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of Operating Room experience and/or five (5) years of specialty Registered Nurse experience.
Equipment/Technology: Basic computer knowledge.
Language/Communication: Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak English. Ability to communicate in a professional manner with patients, families, coworkers, physicians, and leadership.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers. Able to calculate correct doses by applying necessary formulas as needed.
Mental Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Can adapt to rapidly changing workloads due to changes in the surgery census. Can frequently and consistently make sound judgments.
Interpersonal: Works well with others.
Performance: Works well under pressure and meet multiple and competing deadlines.
