About the Role

Are you an experienced mechanic who takes pride in your craft and enjoys working on a variety of equipment?
REIC Rentals (doing business as Pro Rentals and Sales) seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our growing team.

In this role, you'll perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of construction and rental equipment. You'll ensure every machine is rent‑ready, safe, and performing at its best - helping our customers stay productive and our fleet running strong.

What You'll Do

A typical day includes:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy and small equipment, including diesel and gas‑powered engines.

  • Inspect returned equipment for damage, perform necessary repairs, and complete service documentation.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and ensure all units meet company safety and performance standards.

  • Operate and test equipment to verify repair quality and functionality.

  • Communicate with customers and teammates regarding service needs and status updates.

  • Accurately track parts usage, labor hours, and maintenance records.

  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe in compliance with company standards.

  • Collaborate with the shop and rental counter teams to prioritize rent‑ready repairs.

Who You Are

You're a reliable, mechanically skilled professional mechanic who enjoys working with your hands and solving problems. You take pride in doing the job right the first time and keeping customers satisfied.

Top candidates will have:

  • set of tools to bring with you to work

  • 3-5+ years of hands‑on experience in equipment or diesel repair.

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains
    .

  • Ability to troubleshoot and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

  • A clean driving record (violation‑free for the last three years).

  • Your own set of basic hand tools for mechanical work.

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs multiple times per day and perform physical tasks safely.

  • A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.
