Tamarack Resort is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our Engineering & Maintenance team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing systems throughout the resort's residential homes, condominiums, lodging facilities, restaurants, employee housing, and commercial buildings.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced resort environment. This role plays a critical part in protecting resort assets, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting preventative maintenance initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Plumbing Maintenance & Repairs- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, fixture malfunctions, water pressure problems, and drainage issues.
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply, waste, vent, and storm drainage systems.
- Repair and replace plumbing fixtures, faucets, toilets, sinks, water heaters, pumps, valves, and associated equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Respond to emergency plumbing situations promptly and professionally.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.
- Assist in winterization and de-winterization of resort homes and facilities.
- Monitor building systems to prevent freeze damage, water loss, and equipment failures.
- Support resort initiatives involving water conservation and leak detection technologies.
- Assist with remodels, renovations, and capital improvement projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Ensure plumbing installations comply with local, state, and national codes.
- Coordinate work with contractors, vendors, and other maintenance trades.
- Support maintenance operations across resort lodging, restaurants, employee housing, and homeowner rental properties.
- Interact professionally with guests, homeowners, and resort staff.
- Accurately document work orders, repairs, and materials used through the resort's maintenance management system.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and emergency response activities as needed.
- Current Idaho Journeyman Plumber License (or ability to obtain Idaho reciprocity).
- Minimum 3 years of commercial, residential, or service plumbing experience.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience troubleshooting water distribution and drainage systems.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass background screening and pre‑employment requirements.
- Experience working in resorts, hotels, multifamily housing, or commercial facilities.
