Specialty Coordinator RN

Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinates comprehensive patient care processes across multiple specialty programs.
  • Provides direct patient care: administers injections and immunizations, takes and records vital signs, conducts detailed assessments, assists with minor office surgical procedures, manages complex patient needs, and coordinates interdisciplinary care.
  • Performs clinical responsibilities: records patient information in charts, documents clinical interventions, participates in specialty protocols, provides virtual care, and serves as a resource for patient and family education.
  • Responsible for patient flow: pre‑examination triage, documentation of vital signs, summary of patient complaints, and moving patients in and out of exam rooms.
  • Maintains inventory of clinical supplies and medicines, and keeps the clinical area neat and clean.
  • Follows hospital exposure control plans and pathogen protocols.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information, following HIPAA regulations and policies.
  • Ensures regular and predictable attendance and communicates with patients, families, and co‑workers in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
  • Must take call hours per the OB Call Policy.
Minimum Qualifications
  • AD or BS in an accredited nursing program.
  • 1–2 years of previous experience in a clinic, outpatient, or specialty setting (preferred).
  • Current Idaho RN or LPN license in good standing.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP required or obtained within 6–12 months of hire.
  • Previous Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
  • Completion of external fetal monitoring training and additional training days in the Labor and Delivery department at Kootenai Health (required if no prior experience).
  • PALS highly recommended but not required.

Full time, 40 hours per week.

Location:

Clearwater County, y: $18.00–$20.00 per hour.
