The Shore Lodge Room Attendant maintains the cleanliness of our guests’ rooms, ensuring a professional and welcoming presentation by completing routine duties in cleaning and servicing. Our Room attendants promote a positive image of our property to guests and are pleasant, honest, and friendly.

• Obtain list of vacant rooms which need to be cleaned.
• Clean guest rooms to the highest standards.
• Make beds, dust rooms and furniture, clean bathrooms and closets.
• Replenish amenities, guestroom, and bath supplies according to operational standards.
• Clean guest bathrooms, bedrooms, floor corridors, and vacuum carpets.
• Check and secure rooms upon completion, ensuring security and privacy.
• Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests, e.g., iron and ironing boards.
• Examine rooms for repairs or replacement needs and recommend to management.
• Inventory furnishings, linens, and amenities.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, club members, and colleagues.
• Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and seek to improve quality; apply feedback and monitor own work.
• Follow instructions, respond to management, take responsibility, keep commitments, and complete tasks or notify of alternate plans.
• Attend staff meetings to discuss policies, complaints, and service improvements.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to follow instructions and multi-task with high organization and attention to detail.
• Work autonomously at a fast pace, re-prioritizing as needed.
• Effective communication with guests and coworkers.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

• Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, prolonged standing, walking.
• Lifting supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs or more.
• Constant visual, hearing acuity, agility, and dexterity required.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
