JDE Analyst

The IT JDE Analyst will assist in the design, development, upgrade, maintenance, and support of JDE and related interfaces and business systems, including document management, timekeeping, and reporting systems. They will serve as a conduit between business, IT, and external partners to collaborate on Oracle/JD Edwards ERP requirements, processes, documentation, and training. Additionally, the Analyst will work with all business areas to understand and capture high-level needs, deliver functional specifications, and develop best practice automated solutions.

The Analyst will work with team members to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and systems issues. This position reports to the ERP Systems Manager.

Primary Responsibilities And Influence

• Provide support and assist users with JDE application and related/integrated system issues.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities for improving Oracle/JD Edwards Enterprise One ERP and related/integrated systems performance and functionality.
• Design and implement technical and functional solutions that meet business and operational requirements.
• Assist in the administration of the Oracle/JD Edwards Enterprise One ERP environment and related/integrated systems, managing configurations, user access, and updates.
• Ensure system security, stability, and compliance with corporate IT policies.
• Perform troubleshooting, issue support, and root cause analysis to resolve system issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative system designs that optimize processes and workflows.
• Work with JDE/Oracle support and other integrated/related system vendors as needed to resolve technical and/or functional issues within the ERP system landscape.
• Effectively develop and document detailed functional specifications, system process flows, logical and physical designs, use cases, and diagrams to translate user requirements into software development or package configurations ensuring content is relevant to expected business, technology, and performance outcomes.
• Work with the IT Applications team and Oracle/JD Edwards Enterprise One ERP users to foster innovation, provide business automation expertise, and recommend cost-effective solutions for the enterprise.
• Provide functional support, design, and develop new and modified functionality, reports, forms, and interface systems in support of Finance/Accounting, Tax, Procurement, Inventory Management, Operations, Sales, and other departments.
• Develop test plans and scripts to ensure turnkey solutions to customers; facilitate testing of systems, applications, and/or system interfaces, and provide test cases for future regression tests.
• Lead and mentor less experienced members of the IT team in the configuration and support of the overall Application Environment.
• Support corporate application improvement/development projects to ensure successful fulfillment of end-user requirements, accurate testing, training development, and quality implementations.
• Configure JD Edwards modules according to business requirements and minimize the need for system customization to utilize the systems’ standard processes.
• Provide training and technical support to end-users and other stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Education And Experience

Preferred Experience and Training

• 4-year degree in Business/Information Systems/Information Technology (or satisfactory combination of education and experience)
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience supporting Oracle/JD Edwards Enterprise One ERP systems

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Proven experience in Oracle/JD Edwards Enterprise One is preferred, or related ERP System, including Systems Analysis and Design with a focus on functional and technical implementation and support.
• Strong understanding of system administration principles, including configuration management and user access controls.
• Technical expertise in designing and building scalable Oracle/JD Edwards Enterprise One ERP or related ERP System solutions.
• Knowledge of ERP systems,
• Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving complex system functionality issues.
• Prefer experience with various EDI documents and mapping.
