Description:
SUMMARYThe Installation Coordinator is a part of the Site Project Management Team which is responsible for installing company equipment at customer’s facilities. The position is responsible for coordinating between the Site Project Teams, Remote Management and the customer to facilitate installation work. Typical assignments include material planner, mechanical/electrical worker and/or supervisor, overall floor coordinator, team leader, QAQC leader.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitor scheduling, procedures, and performance of installation work at the customer’s facility, recommending improvements and modifications deemed necessary.
- Oversee the implementation and training of approved control systems and procedures.
- Work closely with the Installation Site Manager and Site Management Team, assisting in analysis of errors to develop short/long-term solutions.
- Assist Site Manager in coordinating and monitoring tasks execution and progress.
- Assist in the development of installation/qualification and repair procedures for company equipment and may be requested to prepare procedures based on individual’s skills and experience.
- Coordinate installation personnel to ensure quality of work is to standard and training is provided as appropriate.
- Administration of day-to-day operations at customer’s facility.
- Receive, and oversee the installation of parts for company equipment in the customer’s facility.
- Input data to various computer programs. Data manipulation, retrieval, and report creation and submission to Installation Site Manager.
- Monitor, guide and train contractor’s resources and vendors required for the efficient operation of company interests.
- Monitors scheduling, procedures, and performance of company equipment at the customer’s facility, recommending improvements and modifications deemed necessary. Oversees the implementation and training of approved control systems and procedures.
- Work with Installation subcontractors to compile and complete a Punch list to formally complete a Project.
- Supervise and coordinate material movement, electrical and mechanical contractors, QAQC work based on project needs.
- Attend daily in field white board meetings.

- Mechanical/electrical skills. Ability to use unique tools applicable to maintenance.
- Work experience on AC/DC motors, mechanical gear boxes, and gear reducers
- Familiarity with one or more of the following pieces of equipment: stacker cranes, conveyors, and/or AGV's.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following Programmable Logic Controllers - Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Programs
- Ability to read and understand equipment drawings and identify parts through drawings.
- Ability to travel more than 50% and remain at site for extended periods.
- Must pass Level II skill set training course and test materials and be capable of implementing to system support.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociates degree (AS) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and two years’ experience doing installations; or equivalent education and experience. Previous Murata experience is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
