Location: Orofino
Overview
Communications Specialist (Dispatcher) role at Orange County Sheriff's Department. 5 months ago, among the first 25 applicants.
Responsibilities- Monitor, receive, and transmit radio messages to law enforcement, medical, and fire personnel.
- Answer incoming phone calls.
- Fill out initial police reports.
- Maintain radio and phone logs.
- Assist jail deputies.
- Basic clerical abilities such as computer and typing skills.
- Typing test required. Applicant must type at a speed of at least 45 wpm.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- No felony arrests and no illegal drug use in the last 5 years.
Full-time position. Salary will be $20.70 per hour plus based on experience. Shifts rotate every three months (Day, Swing, Graveyard, Relief). Position open until filled.
