Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as building members, columns, joists, frames, stairs, railings, and other parts using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.

• Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly using measuring tools such as measuring tape, rulers, and calipers.
• Use Flux Core welding techniques to weld various components.
• Operate cutting torch, plasma, power tools, and hand tools.
• Weld structural and architectural components.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and instructions.
• Build jigs.
• Use hoist to position materials and have knowledge of rigging.
• Examine work for defects and conformance with specifications.
• Maintain an inventory of tools and keep a clean welding environment.
• Follow safety policies.
• Assist in overall production tasks like paint prep, loading/unloading materials, and pulling needed materials.
