The Thompson Creek Mine is a primary, surface molybdenum mine and mill located approximately 48 kilometres southwest of the town of Challis in Idaho's Custer County.

In operations since 1983, the mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods with large electric-powered shovels that can each move up to 100,000 tons of waste rock and ore per day.

Thompson Creek Mine promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.

We are looking for a Operator, Equipment Operator to join our Thompson Creek team.

Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform pre-shift/pre-operation on mining equipment.
• Perform minor maintenance checks on the equipment, including fluid and tire checks.
• Maintain equipment maintenance and operation records.
• When not operating equipment, work with and assist in completing assigned tasks.
• May be assigned other duties.

To qualify, the following skills and experiences are required:

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Excellent safety record.
• Ability to work rotating schedules.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Support zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
