Manufacturing Production, Packaging Engineer
Darigold is hiring a SAPAC Operator. The primary responsibility of this position is to package a quality product while completing all assigned master sanitation, duties and/or assigned tasks. The operator must be able to start, run, shutdown, and maintain all associated equipment. The holder of this position must follow all GMP, HACCP, safety, and all other regulatory and plant policies and procedures.
The operator must achieve all production goals or report and document all reasons targets are not met. The operator is expected to promote safety, maintain a sanitary food environment, and strive to improve product quality.
Schedule:
5pm-5am, nights on a rotating schedule
- Produce a quality product.
- Ensure all product produced is within accepted specifications.
- Start, run and shutdown the packaging equipment.
- Must be able to operate the packaging and all associated equipment while maintaining standards of excellence.
- Run all required quality checks.
- Complete all required logs.
- Make computerized weight adjustments and calibrations as needed.
- Calibrate and monitor metal detection sensor and final product weight scale.
- Monitor coding for correct product identification.
- Operate Palletizer and Stretch Wrap Machine, keeping work area clean & neat (maintain 5S).
- Maintain all equipment associated with packaging performance.
- Complete and store all required documents.
- Follow and promote all plant and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Ensure all GMP, HACCP, safety and all plant, documentation and regulatory policies and procedures are in compliance.
- Achieve all production goals.
- Inspection of materials.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Manufacturing experience required.
- Adherence to Good Manufacturing Processes.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry 75 pounds and routinely reach and bend below the knees.
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to bend, twist, and stand for 12 hours.
- Must be able and willing to work nights (rotates between with days, however has to work nights as well).
- Previous experience in food packaging is preferred.
- Able to read and record instrument data.
