Dog​/Puppy Care Team Leader

We are looking for an extremely responsible mature adult with a natural ability with dogs, who enjoys caring and interacting with dogs and puppies. This position is fragmented fulltime hours with a competitive salary. It could include an opportunity for an added monthly income.

Job responsibilities include
:

• Extremely important responsibility of walking our acclaimed breeding dogs.
• Must follow our dog and puppy training protocols using positive reinforcement methods.
• Possess a natural ability to interact with animals then we will train you to become a puppy trainer.
• Must live within 20 minutes of Ashton.
• This is a leadership role.
• Responsible for Puppy Care Coordinator’s. Approximately 6 part time team members.
• Managing the Shift Schedule and time off requests.
• Punctuality is required due to the nature of our business & working with live animals.
• Must be able to work fast-paced.
• Kennel boarding experience is an asset.
• Vet tech experience is an asset.
• Self-starter and can work alone.
• Attention to detail with the cleaning and disinfecting is a requirement.
• Job responsibilities include; cleaning pens & whelping boxes, feeding/water, brushing/grooming, bathing puppies, cleaning the training facility floors, general dusting/cleaning as time permits etc.

Additional Opportunities:

• Extra hours available for outdoor maintenance and office duties.
• Train puppies in your home (4-weeks) for our 12-week full training program (optional). We would train you and compensation would be $1,750/month.

Schedule

Morning Shift - 7/7:30am to 9:30/10am (~2 to 3 hours)

Afternoon Shift – 3:00pm to 5/6pm (~2 to 3 hours)

Bedtime Shift – 9:00pm to 10:30pm (1 ½ hours)

A combination of at least 15 of 21 scheduled shifts weekly, including weekends. Able to work all 21 shifts, only if necessary.

This position is fragmented fulltime hours with a competitive salary at $25/hour with 2-year contract. Paid on-the-job training and puppy training provided.
