Prior knowledge of greens, fairways and rough maintenance is helpful, including familiarity with equipment operation and the tools necessary in golf course construction and maintenance work.

• Perform general landscape maintenance using handheld equipment autonomously.
• Rake and maintain sand bunkers and assist with edging, trimming and mowing using small machinery.
• Golf course maintenance, weeding and debris cleanup.
• Operate walking equipment for mowing greens, collars and tees.
• Assist with golf course setup procedures; perform pruning and plugging as needed.
• Prepare soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
• Assist with fertilizer applications on tees, fairways and rough areas.
• Operate utility vehicles and riding equipment for hauling material, mowing and debris removal.
• Operate sod cutter, trencher, tamper, dump truck and tractors for project work and hauling purposes.
• Operate equipment safely and be aware of associates and their work areas.
• Maintain flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

• Valid Driver’s License.
• General math skills including addition, subtraction and multiplication.
• English comprehension to read and understand simple instructions.
• Ability to work in wet or humid conditions and near moving machinery.
• Occasionally work in high places and in areas with fumes or airborne particles.
• Occasionally work in extreme heat and experience vibration; exposure to loud noise.
