Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and send independent contractors to conduct the inspections. The purpose of the property inspection is to verify and report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.

• Complete most inspections in 5–6 minutes.
• Finish the inspection within 4 days of assignment.
• Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Fill out a short form in the app.
• Spend extended periods driving while making numerous stops during the day in your assigned territory.

• Computer with an internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you’ll pay your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you can earn the equivalent of $30–$40 per hour.

Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete anywhere from 20–500 inspections per month working 2–30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties have higher rates; higher‑volume counties have lower rates. The work is consistent month‑to‑month, and you can earn more as you become established, have greater availability, or cover a larger territory.

No additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
