Job Description: Native Earth LLC is an innovative agricultural company dedicated to advancing environmental stewardship through smarter, more sustainable products. Our mission is to deliver solutions that reduce waste and increase growth efficiency while preserving the integrity of our planet’s natural resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and refine research trials and SOPs for plant, soil, and fertilizer evaluations.
  • Maintain laboratory, greenhouse, and field trials—including sampling, small-plot harvests, and recordkeeping.
  • Collect and organize data (notes, photos, measurements), and summarize results using tables, graphs, reports, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, growers, universities, and industry partners to support research goals.
  • Manage research activities using shared tools (Excel project logs, calendars, weekly meeting agendas), and follow up on team action items.
  • Provide oversight for seasonal staff, interns, and research assistants as needed when the Innovations Manager is unavailable.
  • Contribute to general company operations and cross-functional support across Native Earth and sister companies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agronomy, Plant Science, Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—for reporting and collaboration.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including taking direction and leading when needed.
  • Familiarity with agricultural systems and soil/plant fertility principles.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a pesticide applicator license and Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) credential.
  • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors year-round in variable weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for research activities and collaboration.
