Description
A Brass Ranch Hardgoods Lead works at the Brass Ranch in a fun, fast paced ski and lifestyle store specializing in the best of the best skis, hardgoods equipment and luxury European skiwear. Supervises the sales, merchandising and storage of all hardgoods equipment as well as trains sales staff to be knowledgeable on all brands. Must have strong leadership skills, be detail oriented, organized and knowledgeable about skiing.
This position is ideal for a ski enthusiast that is passionate about cutting edge ski gear.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be passionate and knowledgeable about the ski industry
- Works directly with the Brass Ranch River Run Supervisor and Manager and Hardgoods buyer to meet target sales and lead the sales staff
- Participates in Clinics with all brands to learn about the products we sell
- Trains employees in Hard Goods Merchandise
- Motivates and supports employees to sell hard goods on the floor
- Facilitates the unpacking and organizing of all hardgoods into the Brass Ranch Store
- Manages the sales of all preseason special-order skis and boots
- Supervise the inventory of Hardgoods in the Store.
- Keeps back stock areas organized and easy to access.
- Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
- Listen attentively and share information and support to the customers that are shopping
- Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise on counters pr tables to promote sales.
- Occasionally mark or tag the price on merchandise.
- Answers customers’ questions concerning location price, and use of merchandise.
- Focus on delivering 100% customer satisfaction
- Accept payment and make change.
- Wraps or bags and mail out merchandise for customers.
- Communicates to store supervisor any unresolved customer service issues
- Folds and cleans store daily.
- Removes and records amount of cash in register at end of shift.
- Assist with physical inventory
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and passion for skiing, ski equipment, and luxury skiwear.
- Minimum 2–3 years of retail or sales experience, preferably in sporting goods or ski industry.
- Proven leadership skills with experience training, motivating, and supervising staff.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage and support customers.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage inventory, merchandising, and sales simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented retail environment.
- Comfortable handling transactions, operating registers, and performing basic math.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear
- Must safely move objects up to approximately 45 pounds about the workplace
- Flexible schedule with availability on weekends, holidays, and peak ski season periods.
