Industrial Controls Electricianis primarily responsible for ski lift electrical maintenance, both preventative and unscheduled, working closely with the Lift Maintenance team. The position will also work on snow making systems and assist with other electrical maintenance throughout the resort as the need arises. This is a challenging position in an outside environment that typically includes the use of snowmobiles and ATVs, climbing ski lift towers and servicing on‑mountain systems in all weather conditions.

Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of ski lift electrical operation and controls
- Familiarity with analog, digital and PLC controls interfacing low and high voltage systems to operate ski lifts and snow making systems
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code and ANSI
B.77 code - Knowledge AC variable speed drives, DC motors, DC variable speed drives, battery powered low voltage 24
VDC controls - Diagnose, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Must be able to climb chairlift towers to troubleshoot/repair equipment at heights up to 70 feet
- Have working knowledge of electrical and electronic control/sensor devices and their functions, testing and installation
- Be able to operate a snowmobile safely and respond to stopped lift issues quickly and efficiently in all types of weather conditions
- Must maintain OSHA requirements, as well as the National Electric Codes
- Troubleshooting skills using electrical testing equipment to diagnose problems
- Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business

- 3+ years' experience in electrical field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to commit to working weekends and holidays during the operating season.
- Comfortable working in extreme mountain weather conditions.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSRequires possession of valid Class C driver license with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort’s insurance carrier.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
