Pool Operator​/Lifeguard Manager

As the Pool Manager at Downata Hot Springs, you will oversee the daily operations of our pool area, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. This role is vital to our commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.

• Supervise pool operations and staff to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of the pool area to maintain hygiene standards.
• Conduct lifeguard duties as needed to ensure guest safety in and around the pool.
• Manage guest services related to the pool area, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly.
• Implement training programs for staff on CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures.
• Monitor water quality and chemical levels to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Organize recreational activities and events at the pool to enhance guest enjoyment.
• Maintain inventory of pool supplies and equipment.

• Proven experience in pool management or similar roles within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of pool maintenance practices and safety regulations.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required; lifeguard certification required but will train. You must have swimming skills to pass the course.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting for equipment handling and maintenance tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing pool operations.
• Experience in guest services is a plus but not mandatory.
• Red Cross Water Safety certified. Will train.
• Oversee and teach swim lessons in June. Obtain a lifeguard instructor certification within 2 years.
