NPL Advisor / Payroll & Data Administrator

Location: London
Contract: Temporary contract until 27 March 2027
Rate: £159.31 Umbrella per day
Start: ASAP

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused NPL Advisor to join a busy, collaborative team. This is a fast-paced role where you will support contractors and managers with timesheet, payroll and general queries, while ensuring processes and data are accurate and deadlines are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and respond to contractor and manager queries via email and telephone.
  • Support a team inbox, providing guidance on payroll, timesheets and general enquiries.
  • Process and resolve timesheet issues accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Assist with reporting, management information and data collation.
  • Carry out quality assurance checks to ensure data is accurate.
  • Support contract end dates and extensions, liaising with relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate early timesheet deadlines to the business and suppliers.
  • Support the wider team with administrative and process-related activities.
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively, using your own initiative.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service to contractors, managers and internal stakeholders.
About You
  • Previous administrative experience in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of timesheet processing; payroll experience would be beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to manage competing priorities, work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and willing to get involved and support the wider team.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Essential Excel Skills

Candidates must have intermediate Excel skills. You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of:

  • VLOOKUP
  • Pivot Tables
  • Cell formatting
  • Data validation
  • SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, MIN and MAX
  • SUMIF / SUMIFS
  • COUNTIF / COUNTIFS

Excel knowledge will be tested as part of the interview process
, so candidates must be genuinely confident using these functions rather than having only basic spreadsheet experience.

Desirable: Experience using SAP and XMS.
