Higher Level Teaching Assistants - Endeavour House School
We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join our 1 Ace Provision in Ilford, London
. You will be working with an experienced team in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.
As an HLTA, your day will be varied and interesting; you will support our teachers by assisting in the classrooms or out in the community, following a flexible structure and supporting our children and young people to unlock their passion for learning.
1 ACE (Another Chance Education) is our alternative education provision, which works with children and young people who struggle in their formal or specialised education settings; we offer education on an outreach basis or within one of our Ofsted registered schools.
We will work within a Trauma‑informed practice model and support a therapeutic practice.
Our leadership team invests in your professional progression, offering up‑to‑date opportunities and prioritising personal development. We prioritise your well‑being so that you can support children effectively.
Our young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, we are looking for committed, dedicated people who want to continue their career with a therapeutically based organisation and leading alternative education provision.
Our Team at Endeavour House School – Ilford We are a small and friendly team based in the vibrant community of Ilford, London. Our school is a special educational needs school with a unique, relaxed, and focused atmosphere. Our goal is to create a learning environment where emotional well‑being and academic success walk together, enabling each child to succeed.
Hours
Term Time, this goes in line with the local authority.
Our full‑time hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 am – 4:30 pm.
The role is full‑time over 5 days per week; however, part‑time or compressed hours can be discussed.
Requirements
- Good written and IT skills.
- Ability to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers.
- Active listening skills.
- Valid driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
