Teaching Assistant

Location: Redbridge

A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Redbridge, East London is looking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its student support team from after the February half term until the end of the academic year, on a full-time, long-term basis.

This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and eager to contribute to a school environment that balances strong academic expectations with a caring and inclusive culture.

The position offers a competitive daily pay rate of up to £110, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group support to students across different subjects and year groups
Assist teachers in modifying lesson materials to ensure all students can access learning effectively
Work closely with the SENCO and wider inclusion team to implement and monitor personalised support strategies
Encourage student independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Help maintain a positive, organised, and supportive classroom atmosphere

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working with children or young people, especially those with additional needs or SEND
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A calm, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting students
A strong commitment to inclusive practice and student wellbeing
