A secondary school in Ilford is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Maths Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This opportunity would particularly suit a candidate with previous experience as a Head of Maths or Second in Charge who is looking to contribute to the continued development and success of a well-established department. The school is looking for a strong classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire students, support colleagues, and uphold high academic standards across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 teaching available
- Support the leadership and strategic development of the Maths department
- Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and intervention strategies
- Monitor student progress and implement effective strategies to raise attainment
- Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have strong subject knowledge and a proven record of successful classroom practice
- Ideally have previous experience as a Head of Maths or Second in Charge
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Be committed to delivering inclusive and engaging teaching and learning
- Have the ability to motivate and support students of varying abilities
