ASC Support Assistant | Redbridge | September 2026

Do you have a passion for supporting children with Autism and additional learning needs? Are you looking to gain valuable school-based experience before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or SEND?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Redbridge is seeking to appoint a dedicated ASC Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or aspiring education professional to develop their skills while making a genuine difference to pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

The successful ASC Support Assistant will work closely with children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and other additional learning needs. As an ASC Support Assistant, you will provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are looking for an ASC Support Assistant who:

  • Is a recent graduate with relevant SEND experience, or a passionate individual seeking school-based experience
  • Has experience working with children through schools, tutoring, mentoring, care, coaching, or volunteering
  • Is patient, resilient, and committed to supporting young learners
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Has a genuine interest in SEND and inclusive education

As an ASC Support Assistant, there may be an element of personal and intimate care required to support pupils with additional needs. Full training and support will be provided.
