About the role and schoolWe are seeking a SEN Teacher to join a highly regarded special needs school in Waltham Forest from September. This SEN Teacher role offers flexibility across a range of age groups and pathways, making it an excellent opportunity for teachers with experience supporting pupils with Autism, communication needs, learning difficulties and complex additional needs.
The successful SEN Teacher will join a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering personalised learning and helping pupils achieve positive academic, social and emotional outcomes. As a SEN Teacher, you will work within a well-resourced environment where teaching approaches are tailored to individual EHCP outcomes and pupil needs.
This SEN Teacher opportunity would suit a passionate practitioner looking to further develop their SEN expertise within a specialist setting. The school is seeking a SEN Teacher who can build positive relationships, create engaging learning experiences and support pupils to achieve their full potential.
As a SEN Teacher, you will work closely with support staff, therapists and families to ensure pupils receive a consistent and highly personalised educational experience. The successful SEN Teacher will join a collaborative team that places inclusion, communication and wellbeing at the centre of its practice.
Job responsibilities- Deliver engaging and differentiated learning as a SEN Teacher
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Plan learning linked to EHCP outcomes
- Work collaboratively with therapists and support staff
- Monitor progress and contribute to annual reviews
- Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working within SEN desirable
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
