Job Title: LD Support Worker (British Sign Language)
Hours: Full-time / Part-time / Day & Night Shifts Available
Role OverviewWe are seeking compassionate, skilled Learning Disability Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with autism, learning disabilities, sensory processing difficulties and behaviours that challenge.
The individuals we support live in supported living or single-occupancy placements and require consistent, structured and proactive support to maintain safety, emotional regulation, independence and meaningful engagement in daily life and the community.

Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support in line with individual care and support plans
- Support with personal care, daily living tasks and independent skills
- Promote emotional regulation and reduce behaviours that challenge using low-arousal and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches
- Support individuals with sensory needs
, communication difficulties and anxiety - Maintain structured, predictable routines to promote safety and wellbeing
- Support safe access to the community, activities and meaningful engagement
- Monitor and respond to health needs, including epilepsy and complex conditions where applicable
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals and multidisciplinary teams
- Complete accurate records, incident reports and daily notes
- Maintain a trauma-informed, respectful and person-centred approach at all times
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism
- Ability to work calmly and confidently with individuals who display behaviours that challenge
- Understanding of sensory processing needs and emotional regulation
- Ability to follow structured routines and care plans consistently
- Willingness to work 1:1, 2:1, community-based and overnight shifts
- A patient, empathetic and reliable approach
- Experience in supported living or complex needs services
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Experience supporting transitions (e.g. children’s to adult services)
- Experience supporting individuals who lack capacity
