We are seeking a Locum Band 7 Community Speech and Language Therapist for a full-time, Community Stroke role based in Ilford. Responsibilities include providing clinical management and treatment for adult patients with an acquired swallowing and communication disorders stemming from a stroke, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient‑centred care across the community. Therapy requires prior NHS or similar experience, excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families and healthcare professionals, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical practice.

A car is required for this role, as you will be travelling across the area.

• Expertise in treatment of adults with an acquired swallowing and communication disorders
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with patients, families, and medical teams
• Capability to assist with supporting for junior staff and colleagues
• Relevant professional registration (e.g., HCPC) and prior experience as a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist
• Ability to maintain professionalism and adapt to fast‑paced community healthcare settings

• Candidates must have NHS experience
• Candidates must hold HCPC registration
• Candidates must be a car owner
• Must have unrestricted right to work in the UK
