Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Lifeways, we support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex care requirements to live independently, achieve their goals and enjoy the lives they choose.

The Opportunity

Deputy Manager – Mental Health

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional to join our team at Hazelmere.

We would love to hear from candidates with experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader, Senior Practitioner, or in a similar leadership role. Most importantly, we're seeking someone who embodies our CHOICE values and is passionate about supporting adults to live as independently as possible while navigating the challenges associated with complex mental health needs, including bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and psychosis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a values-driven leader who is committed to building long-term stability, promoting positive outcomes, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support. You will play a key role in leading and developing a dedicated team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support while fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture for both colleagues and the individuals we support.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead and develop a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support and rehabilitation.
  • Ensure the service operates safely, effectively and in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Support people with complex mental health needs to achieve positive outcomes and greater independence.
  • Build a stable, motivated team through coaching, development and strong leadership.
  • Work with senior leaders and external professionals to continuously improve service quality.
What You’ll Bring
  • A level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent / working towards)
  • Strong experience in supporting adults with complex mental health.
  • Above all, compassion, integrity and a genuine commitment to the people we support.
We’re looking for someone who shares our values of Caring, Honest, One Team, Innovative, Courageous and Equal — someone who wants to make a lasting difference and provide the stability and longevity that our people and teams deserve. Why Join Lifeways? When you join Lifeways, you’ll be part of a company that values and invests in its people, with access to:
  • Leadership development and progression opportunities
  • Supportive, inclusive workplace culture
  • Company pension scheme
  • Wellbeing resources and mental health support
  • Reward and recognition schemes
  • CHOICE Rewards discounts across shopping, travel, tech and more
  • Stream financial wellbeing tools, including earned pay access
